The other one I'm happy to still see a Sea Eagles is Dias. He's not really your standard type of Prop. Pretty mobile. I'd like to see him play wider myself. But I still think his best football is still Infront of him.
With David Odonell running the junior program there is a lot more access/information flowing through. Last season was the start and juniors were announced way before the start of season (another poster mentioned lack of junior info until just before season commenced) and will improve further across the yearYes indeed. Credit to the club @The Wheel They at least seem to be listening to some of the gripes from the past seasons re lack of information and be improving.

Anybody know why Matterson is on the Supplementary List and not the Squad list, thought he was pretty safe tying up a squad spot for 2024.
2024 Sea Eagles Squad Ben Condon Ben Trbojevic Brad Parker Christian Tuipulotu Corey Waddell Daly Cherry-Evans Ethan Bullemor Gordon Chan Kum Tong Haumole Olakau'atu Jake Arthur Jake Trbojevic Jamie Humphreys Jason Saab Jaxson Paulo Josh Aloiai Josh Schuster Karl Lawton Lachlan Croker Luke Brooks Matthew Lodge Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega Reuben Garrick Taniela Paseka Tommy Talau Tom Trbojevic Toafofoa Sipley Tolutau Koula Zac Fulton Supplementary List
Aaron Woods Aitasi James Bailey Hodgson Dean Matterson Training Nathan Brown Austin Dias Cameron Brown Charlie Thompson Clayton Faulalo James Uesele Zane Dunford
28 players in the squad
2 spots left and 2 spots left in the supplementary list
The 2 spots left should be Dean Matterson who was our rookie of the year last year and is good cover for a utility role off the bench and Nathan Brown as we will be one spot light for middle forwards in the first 8 weeks with Lodge being out and he has experience and will get worse as the season goes along. On the other hand, Aitasi James should be our 31st player not sure if this player can play in the first 8 weeks but shouldn't need to as we have Brown as that extra cover spot. At the start of the season I can see Brown as a better playing but at the end of the season James will have more experience and in better shape and will take over Browny's role as middle forward cover.

This is rugby league not chess he's a gun, grub, hardnosed player exactly what football playing prop forwards need to be..Am I getting any kudos for letting everyone know about Lodge yet? His signing magically slipped under the radar, huh (again, how I said it was going to).
Did you get some good drum on Lodge?Am I getting any kudos for letting everyone know about Lodge yet? His signing magically slipped under the radar, huh (again, how I said it was going to).
Yay for Ryan - your clairvoyance is deeply appreciated by us mere mortals. 🙂Am I getting any kudos for letting everyone know about Lodge yet? His signing magically slipped under the radar, huh (again, how I said it was going to).
Yea not seeing Navale anywhere is a strange one.The 2 spots left should be Dean Matterson who was our rookie of the year last year and is good cover for a utility role off the bench and Nathan Brown as we will be one spot light for middle forwards in the first 8 weeks with Lodge being out and he has experience and will get worse as the season goes along. Frustated about not Caleb Navale, not even in the training squad. There's been talks about him being the future lock for Manly but they haven't even got him training with the team, how is he suppose to learn. It would be great for him to train and play under Woodsy.

Only reason why we still have them in the top 30 is that we contracted them for the season a couple seasons ago. There will be players outside the 30 that are better players and will play more games.Yea not seeing Navale anywhere is a strange one.
Also interesting we still have Fulton, Condon, and Lawton. I wonder if they’ll last the preseason.
At least 1 will leave before round 1 and another mid seasonCondon, Lawton, and Fulton didn't take the hint. Still time though. 🙂

Oh another messiah!Caleb is still able to qualify for our juniors.
He was virtually unknown until he won the best and fairest for the juniors now we have him straight in the NRL
Have we not learnt anything about hyping up our talented juniors yet..
Shouldn't it be, he misses his next game at International level not Club level, if not, would a trial game count.Koula might miss round 1
Facing 1 game suspension
shades of Latu..Oh another messiah!
…. Or weekes!shades of Latu..
