I think let’s look at the positives…..we ummm, well I don’t know…..we could have…..nah….maybe if we…..nah…..geez I got nothing.

Well at least we knocked out the Bulldogs.

Sigh. Knocked ourselves out in the first 30 seconds.

I've seen teams carry too much emotion into a game before, and be so hyped up that they forget their defensive technique. Never thought I'd see Jake do it though, especially immediately after poor Tolu got the pointy end of JWH's "bumper".

Also, that was the first time a ref has found a whistle this finals series, and - surprise, surprise - he rarely blew it in our favour.

But really, that was our Achilles heel on full display: we cannot tackle, and we cannot cope with offloads. The defensive issues that have haunted us for years did not magically disappear just because we made it to Week 2 of the finals.

Wonder where we go from here. We still need a proper hooker and another quality edge player to be a genuine force, so while I'd like to think we can improve next year we're just as likely to fall in a heap. Fun times ahead either way.

I am still unsure how Jake wasn't a cat 1 and or allowed back out on the field!
Definitely not himself for that game thereafter... he was even laughing and smiling after the game.... I still don't think he knows where he is 😆
Agree, he looked the same as Kuala.

And somebody who I haven’t addressed in my criticism tonight. The Preacher. This guy is the biggest sham in our forward pack, IMO. He puts in the odd decent performance here and there, but is too often MIA. He is no pack leader and takes up too much salary for poor return. I can’t believe we extended him. Dumb move, IMO.
Yeah I think our forward pack is so slow and not up to nrl standard preacher man is well past his due by date.

We need young hungry forwards and an actual number 9 Croker is gone in my books he offers nothing.

Unless We fix those things other aides will go right past us.

Lost in the first minute, gave up after that and put the youngest to bed with a story

Sorry you had to see that performance live.

Its shows How far off as a club we are from every really being a top 4 side.

As you said tonight it was clear turbo Brooks ola and chez tried everything but had no help frok others.

I see a few long seasons ahead with this squad croker is not 9 Ruben had to move back to wing and apart from ola our forward pack is so slow.

Again well done on going out to the match sorry they boys didn't turn up.
Thanks for your kind words.

The effort was there, but sadly the skill level is not. Outside of Ola i’d swap this forward pack for a half eaten bagel. Look how many tries were scored up the middle, and we never won the ruck.

With a good pack this backline could do something but Garrick needs wing or leave.

It was fun to be there, and at least I got out early to get in front of the Roosters loonies.

Roosters played like a top 4 team. No errors, selective attack.

good read

The big thing south's will jump next year the nrl won't have missing the 8.

Broncos Will make the 8

Dogs will be a force next year.

We as you said need to fine at least a 9 and another 2 props young hungry fats mobile ones.

I can see us missing the 8 next year.

You said it

With our full strength backline Ruben back to wing or gone and a actual 9 with a completely new forward pack young hungry fast ones we may be a chance.

Our forward pack and our 9 is holding back this squad.

Glad you got out early.

Rooaters way too clinical and unless we fix our game plan the way we play just won't match it with top squads.

Ola was enormous tonight he Brooks Dce turbo only ones who seemed to care.

I thought he looked worse for wear than Tolu.

Re: JDubyaH, it would have been some sort of poetic justice to send him out a loser.

Is it bad of me that part of me would have been very interested to see how we went had he have failed his hia?!

Fualalo would have been in the backline with browney at 13
Can only activate the 18th man if it was illegal play that caused the injury.

He was poor early and that put us in the back foot. We should have had at least 2 pens coming out of yardage in the first 20. Sounds minor buts it’s actually not in the context of a tight game where every little advantage helps.
Totally agree. There were two absolutely clear penalties that should have been called in that first 20. It’s one thing to let the game flow, which I’m all for, it’s another to take the pi$$ and push it so far past the line…

The Preacher playing low min again, what's the point.

I believe the rule has changed:

"A team's 18th interchange player will also now be able to be used if two teammates are ruled out of a game by failed Head Injury Assessments"
