Johnnie is saying that under the reign of someone other than QE2, we MAY become a republic but it probably wont happen until that time.

I worked that out after I posted it. Doh. My thinking was that while she is on the/our throne then we won't be a republic.
I just hate it when a captain obvious is shown a captain obvious... 😉
