Thing with the storm is they really havent been tested this year other than the slime game where they lost.

I have no doubt if we in the current form turn up and work the middle on a strong Hasler prepared game plan we can win. Just needs all the boys to buy inro the plan on the day and execute thire roles as needed.

I could honestly see us doing a job on them like we did to the apprently best in comp Parramatta pack (what a load of horse****) and burning them somehwere in the 30 - 10 mark.
Was thinking the exact same thing about putting a bit of a score on them at Brookie. They just seem to have so much depth tho. I also worry a bit that all these flogging we are dishing up is not going to help much in the longer term (f/a aside). When was our last close game we won? Warriors maybe - but they only hit back late. I do also think we have some more big scores to dish up over the next few weeks too. This raiders game could be anything - even with no Tom and DCE.

Storm clearly the best and most consistent team in the comp, even with Papenhuyzen out they are totally in control of matches. Correct me if im wrong but they have won over 10 games by 50 this season already. Watching them play is actually enjoyable as they are a well drilled ruthless unit and actually have likeable players now (hynes hughes olam cheese etc) i don't see any team beating them this season except for Manly! Penrith even with cleary in my opinion cant beat them, i mean sure its possible but without a superstar FB they will fall short. Here is where we come in, best player in the world right now lighting the game up in all arena's. Big mobile forward pack getting over opposition packs week in week out. 2 electrifying wingers (Garrick arguably best winger in the comp now) saab fastest player. Our halves DCE and Foran are one of the best halves pairings in the game. Foran has really turned the clock back hasn't he, he runs hard plays hard and is heavily involved in that left side attack. DCE after origin had a great game but it was the bulldogs and he needs to show us that form for the next few weeks. Good to see him forming a good combination with Saaby over there. Very Melbourne esq play kicking for Saab like storm do for the fox. Our 2nd row is big mean and mobile and i think with Schuster is one of the most formidable in the comp.

Looking at the players id say storm have it over us...

Turbo > Papenhuyzen/hynes
Garrick > JAC
Olam > Harper
Smith > Parker (in attack anyway)
Saab > Gennings
Munster > Foran
Hughes > DCE
Bromich > Paseka
B.Smith > Croker
Marty > Welch
Kafusi > Schuster
Bromich > Olakau'atu
Jake > Finucane

Hynes > Walker
Keppie > Kamakamica
NAS > Sipley
Grant > burbo

But..... the way we play, so fast attacking from everywhere on the park and with our boys hitting good form i think we can get them. Those comparisons are based off form this year and experience in the big dance. They have a killer bench no doubt, all those players could easily start at other clubs. Easily! But! We have a killer instinct Des has instilled in us! We have that desire to win and the boys camaraderie is starting to remind me of the 08 and 2011 teams. Everyone is on the same pages and Des is doing a great job. Coach of the year for mine!

So bottom line is... yes we can!
Turbo > any fullback (1)
JAC > Saab
Olam > Parker
Hynes > Harper (Hynes will play centre when papenhuyzen is back)
Garrick > Smith (2)
Munster > Foran (3)
DCE > Hughes
Bromwich > Paseka (not by heaps)
Grant >> Croker
Welch > Taupau (close)
Olakau’atu > Kaufusi (close) (4)
Schuster > Bromwich (close) (5)
Trbojevic > Finucane (6)

Cheese > Walker
Aloiai > Kamikamica (close) (7)
NAS > Keppie
Lawton > Eisenhuth (8)

I have us having 8/17 players over them, so pretty even.

Turbo is much better than any of their players (even Munster), if he shows up it could be the difference. The problem is that both their hookers (Grant and Smith) tear ours apart...

Full strength against the storm I reckon he starts with Lawton Marty Keppie Sipley on the bench.
I tend to agree for Storm match I would probably shift Lawton into the 14 role and have 3 props. For all other teams I would have Walker at 14 (Sips miss out fully fit)

8 Keppie 10 Taupau
15 Aloiai 16 Paseka 17 Sipley

Would be mine. Keppie is a great defender, Taupau is the senior leader, so I would start them.

Although I love Paseka starting he makes way too many line breaks for a front rower to be in the first 20 mins of each half where the game is a defensive battle. Bring him on against the top sides to break the game open.

They were clinical last night… again. It seems nearly impossible to stop their momentum up the middle.

I’m hopeful we can compete, but I’ve got an inkling we’re not quite up there yet.

With the right attitude and the right team selections with the most talented players primed up to play on the day
We can do the job

Honestly I give us a decent hope, no one is unbeatable.

Betting will be

Storm $1.40
Manly $2.70

Their consistency is mind boggling. If we played 10 times at full strength I reckon we win 3. As it stands the odds are in their favour but if we click on the day anything could happen.
They are a very potent and most of all they are a consistent side and we have 7 weeks building up to the finals to start building some consistency of our own .

Doesn't kill like a Cement Gillespie shoulder under and up into the rib cage with ferocity.
Arm grabbing and shoulders are not effective when you do not have the pace to keep up in the race feathered friend because
