I actually don't think Smith's any grubbier than a lot of players running around. Bird comes quickly to mind. A lot of tackles in SOO 3 were grubby. Lots of arms pressed into the tackled players head, elbows in eye sockets, hands all over faces, crowding, etc. Smith might be a master at getting away with it, but he's not the only one. I've given up on reading the Telegraph after their love-fest for Stuart, and the rubbish they printed about The Prince..

Hate his guts and I think he's a grub, but he's still the best dummy half I've seen. He can control the game from that position like no other player. IMO guys like Slater and Cronk owe most of their reputation to him as without him they wouldn't have come close to achieving what they have from the game. Much in the same way a glutton of Newcastle players got from Joey in his time at the Knights.

The wankers on NRL on Fox reckon he's an "Immortal in waiting".

As far as I am concerned he's a damn good player BUT still a dirty grub.
