Caleb Navale

Disagree. We play Parra next week, so no easier team he will play against.
He looked great breaking tackles and going thru the middle to set Turbo with a try under the posts - until he dropped it.

Perfect chance for Seibold to keep him selected and up his minutes from 7, to maybe 8 or 9. 🤔
Also a good point

I agree, he did play well, but he did look gassed at points. His endurance can and should increase in NSW Cup ideally before he plays longer minutes.

As a comparison, an NRL quality middle in Lodge made about 275m in NSW Cup yesterday. Navale is very effective in defence for longer stints, but probably suffers in attacking involvement for now.

Also, Parramatta is far worse than NQLD at the moment. I am of the opinion, like quite many, that they have the worst current pack in the NRL right now.

That’s ridiculous metres for a prop.

(Sorry if there's a better Navale thread..)
This guy has been talked up for a year or two (including by me)
Hopefully we've been saving him up, to unleash him just about now.. or pretty darn soon.
If not - then maybe he's just not the player I hoped he was.

Hes been going well in reggies imo, from what I've seen anyway.

I can only assume Seibs doesn't rate him for whatever reason tbh.

There has been plenty of opportunity to get him lots of minutes in the top 17 this year, and it just hasn't happened.

He does seem to be THE bloke in ressies knocking the door, and been pretty consistent in ressies all year.

He deserves more first grade. No question. I hope he gets it.

I wonder if jazz moving on, will be his big in.

At the moment he really is a lock and not much else.

Jazz covers 9. Has had some great games at lock.

Not helping Navale cause will be the pressure to win some games.

He has played spent some time in the back row being developed, and the more he can show there in ressies I think the better his chances of cementing a spot in the 17 next year.
