Burbo to lock?

most of us feel the same way, the boys have lifted and can see a title coming.

Burbo consistently shown us he cannot defend on edges. We need to thinkabout loosing a back and if he is the cover we are in deep ****.

There are better players available for his role.

PLEASE COACH do whats right for the team

haven't read the entire thread so apologies if its already been mentioned.

Tommy Talau is a big body. he has great ball skills and is a strong defender. even more important he has a bit of that x-factor magic dust about him. He could be a game changing no 13 if they went that way.

Obviously Seibold likes Garrick at centre and with young hoppa coming along so well the back 5 looks pretty sorted barring injury.

could be a possibility?

Not the worst idea. Talau has had a lot of injuries. Could his body adapt to the forwards?

The more I see Ben play I am of the view he would make a decent middle forward, he had a good first forty today with plenty of involvement.

The second forty had a couple of moments he needs to work on, he looked gassed and he didn’t look like an 80 minute player once the fatigue got him.

Jake has to move to prop and especially should've today with Paseka and Aloiai out. Then could've had Navale at lock or bench and Bulle at lock.

And Saab goes down with a leg injury, right on cue…

Given his history, I'm guessing he'll miss a few weeks. Not sure what that will mean for the backs. Maybe Schoupp (a-doop-a-doop-a-doop) comes into the side at centre and pushes Garrick or Koula onto the wing.

Moving Burbo to lock and Jake to prop wouldn't be the worst move.

I also think Jake Arthur could be a good lock. He has the skills to be a very good ball playing lock, but I'd doubt he'd be physically up to that.

Was going to say similar. Thought he had a good first 40 unlucky on the ball plant call.... but still think he isn't a 80 minute player and could have done with a spell. Big miss on Hughes when gassed imo!

Finally Sips is on, is he injured or something? We need Lodge asap.

NRL's rules prevent it unfortunately.

If we had actually been smart and offered him a contract last year when I think we should have, he'd be available right now. But because the club once again effed up and only signed him late on a part-time deal, he's no go until after Round 11.

Like I said in today's game day thread. The running of this club really has turned to 💩 in the decade since the Penn's took over.....

Playing lock he could be part of the front row rotation and get the break he needs during games. Jake and Brown are capable of filling in there when Burbo's off the field refuelling at the bowser.

Waddell missing can't be bad thing. I also like what Patollo has been doing NSW Cup.
I said awhile back…..Bully to partner Olakau’atu in the back row. Brbo offers zero to the team in the 2nd row. DCE & Olakau’atu are immense together. Brooks & Brbo are not. Brooks needs Bully to run off him. Move Brbo to the bench, Jrbo to the front row rotation.
Considering injuries to Trbo, Paseka & Aloiai I’d go….
Koula
Saab (if ankle is ok)
Garrick
Talau (due back)
Lehi
Brooks
DCE
Jrbo
Simpkin
TKO
Olakau’atu
Bully
Navale
Res: Brbo, Brown, Sipley, Patolo

Ray has been killing it in NSW Cup. He scored another 3 tries today. I know he has his issues but I reckon he deserves another shot in 1st Grd. Schoupp has also been playing ok but I'd be putting the Ray man on the wing. I'd love to see belt that Sharks goose on the wing
