The Head of football and the coach work together and Barrett would not have made Buhrer co-captain if that was not the case.

Take Penn, Bozo, ZtH, Twent, Cartwright, Hopoate, Myles. Brown, Wright, Wiliame, etc for a tour of any other club than Manly and let them stuff that up rather than ours.
I am beyond angry that this is even being rumoured.
We seem to be turning into the gaol birds, a franchise of thugs with no idea and no plan for success, except for lining their own pockets. And alienating true fans big time.
From a business point of view what they are doing is pretty stupid, it seems they have no idea who their customers are, i.e. their season ticket holders.
When core passionate fans feel cut off from a club, have no real connection to a team, feel they are being lied to, see that decisions are not being made with performance in mind but because of ego. These fans either renew their membership or they don't and I think that quite a few will not if this is indeed true about Buhrer. Some people get to a point when enough is enough.
I noticed on the hill this year at a few games I attended, that some core passionate fans were not there. Thus the Manly chant being non existent, even though I tried to get it going though.
The franchise is destroying the club/team brick by brick.
And not being a conspiracy theorist, it does seem that the owners want to fail. They are alienating fans, recruiting rubbish - Brown, Myles, etc releasing talent - Hiku, Gutho, Ballin etc. And generally going backwards and not nurturing any connection to community and what it means to be Manly.
I have never felt this way in over 30 years as a Manly supporter and it hurts to see what is happening. In most part because the franchise clearly does not give a **** about Manly or their fans.
And when I talk about Manly, I mean the MWRLFC, the incredible history of success and overcoming challenges, the history of talent, the tears, the spirit of the Mighty Sea Eagles, the fans, the community etc.
And that is my 1000th post on Silvertails....!!

To me, all their moves smack of haste, ignorance, shortsightedness and contravening the very manly way on which our success has always being built, which would make them, un-manly moves.
I honestly have no idea what they are doing, the thinking behind it, or what they are trying to achieve. Coz based on this year and the movements for next year, they don't look like successful and well thought out planning and decision making to me.

Yes at the moment he is contracted with us for 2017.
But if the club are idiotic enough to not want him to play first grade in 2017 then they have all the cards. For example, tell him he will be playing for Blacktown and say that he will be looking elsewhere for 2018.
As mentioned above, Mateo and Burgess were told to leave last year despite being contracted, yet they stayed put. Despite our injury crisis they only played about 4 NRL games between them this year.
If Buhrer goes, I can only imagine it would be for a similar reason as he is Manly through and through.
They would be extremely naive to think that would wash with fans. Anyone with any idea about Jamie know he would never leave the club unless pushed...So you're probably right and they will try and spin it that way.
I heard from someone that is close to a player that was cut that Barrett said to him that you will be retained however bozo cut him. So we can't really blame Barrett as he is a mere puppet.
It will be, if this is all true and it seems it is, a completely pointless exercise putting any spin on it.
If Barry Toohey, a pretty good Newcastle journo, knows social media opinion on the matter then they couldn't be that stupid not to know.

Or would they be too arrogant to care.
Either way just tell the bloody truth, that they've shafted another Manly champion.
