Brooky Oval artifical Turf

I remember reading a while back they were thinking about putting in artificial grass at brooky to save a packet on maintenance costs and was just watching the chiefs v cheetahs in the S14 and it looks like the Chiefs home ground at waikato has artificial grass.

If they want to trial it and see how it goes they should have a run around on the Cromer Park field first.

That is a fair bit different to the proposal that was put forward by someone last season about the fully synthetic turf being laid at Brookie, the stuff mentioned on the page seems a lot more viable that what was talked about last season

I wasn't sure what it was when I was watching. Just looked like artifical grass to the eye and when they packed down for a scrum it looked quite stable and no divetts in it. Looked pretty good whatever it was.
