    I found an image of Brookvale Oval from 1943,and a comparison image from the present.

    The trees have grown.  The sausages were actually hot back then as you could buy them straight from the bar-b-que.

    I reckon Kirsch would like to have got her hands on the oval then, imagine the dog walking areas, community farm and chinese gardens that would adorn the oval now if she had...

    The facilities were at least newer, and probably more safe back then. Heck, the dunnies probably didn't even make you dry-reach by just entering them.
