I always forget how long that off season is....well it’s now just 5 days till game 1 vs the Knights.
So keen to see how the boys handle the crazy atmosphere which will be as intimidating as playing SOO at the opposition State.
Can’t wait to see if Baz has this team up for the challenge in what’s sure to be a highly emotional game, the pressure imo is on Newcastle.
The expectations after 10 new signings and failed recent seasons is huge.
Just need Manly to stand up in those early exchanges and with this 2018 pack - I think they can.
Is everyone pumped and counting down? - and what will be the score?

And may well be the “ right” ( pun intended ) decision.

No seriously it’s probably the correct decision, we won’t get flash but we’ll get relatively safe and a goal kicker.

It’s definitely going to be a cauldron atmosphere , they haven’t had much to cheer for for a long time, so you can be assured it will be pretty full on!

Our team sans Croker / Thompson isn’t really that different to the one running around towards the end of last year.

Their team has something like 11 new players.

Our team did really well in the trials , but yes no wins, their no wins and pretty average.

I’m surprised it’s not Manly $1.90 Knights $2.20, but I guess that’s the Dogboy factor!!

The atmosphere at knights stadium or whatever it's called, will be more intimidating than the Knights pack. When it come to intimidation between the packs, the Eagles have in spades.

I like our powerful pack and our young and virile bench .
I don't think Brown will be in the team going by trial selections which is a step moving forward for our Sea eagles .
The combination of Kelly and Matt wright is the weakest centre paring that I have seen in years .
Croker has played only one NRL game back in 2016 and I am sure the Knights game plan will target what they will see as our vulnerable weakness .
If Croker and our centres just hold their own and stand firm , I think we can all get a good Knight sleep on Friday

Damn I'm excited! Full house all out for the boys heads! Will be tops! I do expect a Knights ambush and I think we may lose, not because of our team, I think if this was just a regular season match we would beat them. But we always start slow and the Knights will be full of excitement. Theyve had a great off season, with plenty of positive media, while we have had a draining negative off season.
