Brett Morris?

TBH, if we did get Morris I wouldn't be adverse to TB playing Jorge in the centres and Morris on the wing (sorry but even now Morris is way too good to play NSW Cup). To me, that scenario would mean more pace on the wing, we don't lose Jorge's runs from the back because he can still do that, and we'd have someone out on the flank who can catch a bomb. And besides, it does look like we may not have Walker for the first few rounds of 2018 so it would be a good cover.

However, its probably a moot point as Morris is likely to end up at Souffs anyway so I don't think he's going to end up at Brookvale unless he's running out of the opposition sheds.

I'm a fan of Jorge but you've got to be kidding yourself if you don't think every opposition team's first item on the game plan isn't ................."kick high ball towards Tafua wing"

And you're kidding yourself if you don't think that that isn't the first item on every teams list when they play every team every week ..... "kick high toward the wing"

Strangely enough you might be right ..........................as most teams have wingers and outside backs who can compete for the high ball............oh yes that is most teams except Manly!

I'm sure its underlined, in large font, and bold capital letters when they are playing us!

Great statements ... can you support them with any evidence .... how many bombs has Jorge dropped compared to the NRL average.

Or is the purpose of your posts simply to bag another Manly player to make yourself feel better?

A quick look at some facts ... how Jorge compares to others

AVERAGE ERRORS
Jorge .. 0.7
Brett Morris .. 0.7
Addo-Carr .. 1.4
Vunivalu ... 1.3
Valentine Holmes .. 1.2
Anthony Don ... 1.1
Blake Ferguson .. 1.5

But carry on bagging, don't let reality intrude ..

Uate makes a pretty fair fist at competing for the high ball on most occasions [ and when allowed to ] . i doubt if this will ever be one of Jorge 's best attributes but this is just one of the trade offs that is generally accepted against his other playing strong points . I thought that he had actually improved with handling the high ball this past season but if the reports were accurate that the Manly club had made some overtures to Daniel Tupou a few months ago , i guess that there were still some concerns about some facets of Jorge"s game . Jorge is still unsigned to the best of my knowledge and for whatever reason but taking into account the backs presently on Manly"s books for next season , it would still seem that he would be more then worthwhile to retain for the club .

Give me some stats with errors on the try line at critical times of the match.

As in "no other winger in the comp has ever done this" ... I seem to remember us winning the occasional game from an error by the opposition ...

I think after he had a bad run last year everybody was sweating on every kick and when he did drop one it was highlighted and remembered (you will find what you seek) .... and a myth was born.

He is not the safest under a high bomb ... but he is no worse than 50% of the other wingers in the comp and as his error rate shows ... a lot more reliable than most.
