Forget the NRL and their empty oval and rectangular dust bowls and shoddy product.

Today is the pinnacle of rugby league in Australia, the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League (NRRRL) Grand Final, to be played at a packed house in Ballina.

And with a real Manly feel to it as Brent Kite activates the seige mentality at The Tweed Coast Raiders in a final drive for this illustrious title.

“We’ve had two big, emotion-filled rides of preparation in the last two weeks and a siege, mentally – going down there and trying to knock of the premiers at home will maybe be something that works for us.”

More updates to follow as the jewel in the crown final of the NRL gets underway.

And a special update on the French hamburger situation for @niccipops by our onground reporters.

Brett Kite the next "Supercoach"....

Why not?

Won 2 premierships for Manly including the "40-0", played 221 games spilling Maroon and White blood, Origin rep, 2 country rep, and is only 37.... Surely, someone to keep in the mind for the future. Oh, what the heck, sign him up now!
