Bozo’s Funeral

Somebody, obviously a Manly hater living in the past, rang up Talkin Sport today and was complaining why the State Gov gave Bozo a state funeral and didn't give Tommy Raudonikis one, or Reg Gasnier for that matter, the fact that Tommy died in QLD may have something to do with, fcking idiot, as for Reg, great player, but that's all.

Just ignore him. Not even sure if Bob would have wanted the fuss but he deserves the honour and it brings credit on the game he loved.

Watched some of the state funeral. Nice singing! And plenty of great photos on the telecast. I, like many others, became a Manly fan as a direct result of this bloke.
He's probably half the reason so many are always looking for the next teenage superstar! And why wouldn't you want to live in hope of seeing his like again?

It is a convention for a State funeral. Also flags on buildings around the city were at half mast.

I didn't know Bozo could surf? Then again, I'm not surprised really. He grew up in Wollongong and lived most of his life on the Northern Beaches ... both are surf havens and Bozo certainly wasn't a couch potato. He lived a very active life.

I have personally been dropped in on by bozo.

That's true @SeaEagleRock8. Your post prompted me to think back to the 70's when I first started supporting Manly and, along with the influence of my mother, it was from watching Bozo that I became hooked!

With due respect to Tommy it’s simple….Raudonikis wasn’t an immortal & his achievements were nowhere near that of Bozo. Gasnier is an immortal but again achievements differ to Bozo.
