He has been an absolute find.
Played flegg for eels and could not score a contract and played Massey cup last year.
He has been outstanding given an opportunity with some injuries.
It will probably never happen but he should be seriously looked at for a spot in the 30 next year along with Toby( or at least a dev spot) given some players may be moved on.
Fullback/winger and can fill in at 5/8 in a pinch.
 
So the theory from some is that certain players only play well when they have better players around them?

Certainly a different idea

Yeah nah ... it's a well known thing ... some players just seem to play to the standard around them .. it has always been thus

Agree but if a player is pushing for a first grade spot I would expect better justification than he can play better with better players around them

But isn’t it better for the people who demand a player should be picked in first grade,to not have seen or heard about any of their games?

Should be interesting seeing him up with the big boys. Hope he does well. I have him earmarked for DCE's job when he retires (my hope I'm afraid though probably unrealistic). Hard to keep him though. Realistically Weekes should be included in the Reggie's side. He needs full game fitness.

Interesting that the coach mentions CKT but he's not named in the squad.
Fulton at 4?
No Jake Toby ( injured? ), will Weekes play @ 1 ?
Plus Johns and the surplus forwards from the NRL extended bench will make for an interesting reshuffle.
I can't see our named NRL bench (14-17) staying as it is with no cover for Schu and Croker.

They wouldn't have released this article if Fainu ( & Humphreys ) aren't playing surely.
At least they've finally dropped Dargan.

Too many moving parts for me to get a handle on ... I'll just wait til they run out..
