Jack Bird has resigned through 2017. We have a lot of backs ending their distinguished careers in 2017.

Let's see how he goes with second year syndrome and where Cronulla play him now that they have Maloney and Townsend coming. I'm not that fussed about Jack Bird, will probably make a good ball playing lock.

Will see how Bird goes this year before thinking about signing him up.

The sharks are supposedly paying him upwards of $550k a season for a first year rookie.

He isn't a full back and won't get a look in at 5/8 with the sharks so forwards is where he should be but he doesn't want to play there.

If he plays full back next year Holmes will get the ****s and go to the dragons in 2017

+1 for not fussed about Jack Bird. He overachieved last year but I don't see the kind of skill set that tells me he will be a champion of the future. I tend to think of him more as the next Braith Anasta.

I'm hearing that he'd prefer to be playing with us. Will probably be here 2018 onward, 3 to 4 year contract.
