Big League on Kite

Matabele

Journey Man
Big League serve it up to Kite, and Ian Roberts joins the fray.

In 2005 he was the 27th ranked prop in the game - averaging 102 metres each outing. Alarmingly he was also our best ranked prop (though Hasler did persist in leaving our go forward man Heckenberg in PL and selecting Princess instead.)

Pretty poor effort from a $300,000 per annum man.

He say's he's going to improve. Is anyone else completely sick of these Manly players being ALL talk and NO action?

In his defence he was targetted by opposition packs because they knew we had nobody else as far as props go imo would have been a shock to the system going from an interchange player coming on after Ryles & Bailey have softened up the opposition to being the main man. I think he will be very good for us this year.

Did it have his tackle stats as well Mata ?

so far this year
game 1 vs raiders
Hitups 14
Metres 94
tackles 21
Miss Tackles 1

Vs Cowboys
Hitups 11
Metres 78
tackles 19
Miss Tackles 2

I thought there was a point last year when Kite went off the boil, but could be forgiven for thinking he was having to do it all by himself. (apart from Hecks in specific periods)

I really do hope that the supporting props lift. We will need it and Kite deserves to have some of load shared around a bit. Im more concerned about our props than I am about the centres.
