Best win of the year

Best win indeed. I’ve watched the whole game 3 times now, the last 10 minutes in full about 5 times, the DCE try 10 times, the Koula try 50 times, and the last minute of the game with the Manly celebrations at least 100 times. It gets better with each viewing.
I tried to watch some of it this afternoon but I am still getting over the loss, haven’t had a loss hurt that much in quite a while. You guys certainly got us back for 2014 and deserve to lap it up.

I think it was one of our best wins of all time. Up against it in a sudden death finals game away from home with 40,000 Dogs supporters against an enormously committed team who executed a very good game plan.
It was a great win. Even though it hurts to say it I’ll always call a spade a spade, I’ve been to many Canterbury games and a hostile crowd like that with so many Dogs fans would not be an easy task and to their credit they pulled it off. I commend the Dogs to for turning up in what was an absolute circus of events in the week leading up to it. Could not have been a worse time

I knew we could win it after we were only down a little at half time, I just wasn't confident that we would. The Dogs played a very high energy game in the middle to stop our forwards from blowing them off the park like we did two weeks ago, and the ref putting his whistle in his pocket helped them big time in that regard. But I knew they would get tired, and the game would be there for the taking at the end if we were good enough. Luckily we were.

Dogs line speed was insane for 70 minutes.
Not offside, just maximum effort.

We weathered it, and came over the top.
Canterbury have been the best defensive side this year, and they showed it yesterday. They were relentless, until the last 10 minutes. With only 1 error in the first 50 minutes.
We showed, at long last, some mental toughness and good game management to come through that. Two excellent challenges when they knocked on and Atkins got it wrong. Running the ball on the last tackle to score a great try, and then again to give handovers only on their line.
I don't know if we are capable of putting in another disciplined effort this week - we have not proved that we can do it consistently. But it was good to see.

Not only could we hear the bias, now you can see the bias in their faces and what are they doing with tallis’ credit card :wondering:

Knocked about badly ( first half ), star fullback injured and playing through pain , possession badly against them.

And EVERYONE on Silvertails throwing the towel in ( me included ).

But not our players , oh no , not them, unlike us losers they never gave up.

A win for the ages.

A coaching master class ( that set piece try was sublime ).

Who said Seibold was Seidud???

Onwards and upwards , whilst unlikely we’d beat either Storms or Panfers if we can beat the Chooks this has been a bloody fantastic year.

What a ride!!
Indubitably 👍
