Lol seriously when we get a dud call in our favour it is a sign from the footy gods, something is up, something big!

Truth be we've had many great moments so far and the players would be so motivated by what they've achieved so far that it's hard to see any slackening off from here.
Even a couple of games we lost, Souths and Brisbane, we burnt them early, and Storm in the second half.

I loved the Walker penalty goal but for sheer jubilation and excitement, the Walker try against the Roosters; it was the moment I knew we had a team to get behind this year and that our good form was no fluke!

I was in a pub for Bunnies game and after first try I said I think we'll win by 40. Then we did, and I was really drunk 🙂

DCE's 40/20 against the cowgirls in townsville.
Set the tone for a good old whupping of the cows and was a major part of him completely outplaying Thurston.
A great win.

Arguably a turning point for our entire season too.

For critical plays that have had the most influence on the team 's season 's positive results , i would say definitely D C E ' s 40/ 20 against the cows .Walker's two gap running tries against the roosters and the raiders and Uate's try against the Titans. However the two grubber kicks for Turbo and D C E were pretty special too. I just hope that they can be similar great highlights to reflect upon at the end of the regular season in September and when the Sea eagles are hopefully Finals bound.

Tough choice to make!

I like the last minute try against the roosters (brilliant) and also Walkers penalty goal and daly's field goal (I put the roosters try above it as it's better to win in regulation) and the 40/20 was special as well.

But....

I'm going back to the game against the bulldogs, round 4 where we won 36-0.

DCE to Jake, turns a pass back inside to Tom who sprints up the field...
Tom passes to Dce who in turn...
Kicks to his right, back to Tom who scoooores!

That sort of free flowing play and kicking reminded me of 2011 with dce kicking inside to snake who would pick up and score...or in one instance, pick up...do a miracle pass and score.

Later in that dogs game dce does a great lateral kick to Uate who scores was great as well.

So for me....that bulldogs try to Tom with inside passes, splitting defences, great running and pin point kicking gets my best play so far!




Note: prob been a ton of great defensive plays as well!

Walkers kick under massive pressure to break Raiders hearts. Always thought that would make him as a kicker too. Oh and DCE kicking the field goal against Raiders too. (It shut up that older Raiders fan on the hill who could have tucked her boobs into her trackies... screaming in my ear all day! Was nice when she was silenced).

Notable mentions:

Sacking that deadbeat CEO! What is it with teachers anyway? Think they know it all? Well didn't he get schooled.

Sacking Meehan. I secretly think losing this punchy muslim convert tool has a lot to do with the team's bunker mentality. Work hard, coz if you fk up you're off to Auburn to try and restart your career.

Losing Nate. Gotta be honest, I liked the way he was trying these past couple of weeks but if you look up "playing for a contract" this guy's mammoth mug would be there.

The team. What a joy the team has been to watch since round three!!! Since round three only the dragons game was a disappointment (maybe the Broncos implosion but I was drunk by second half so didn't matter). The boys 1-17 really have played hard for each other and have got that us vs them mentality we all love. Stronger together.

Last try Rd 9 vs Rabbits (71st min). After 3 big runs from Afb, kapow n jorge, Hastings passes right to cherry, cherry passes back behind the ruck to Green who passes back into where Hastings was to Turbo who suddenly has a massive hole to slot through. Runs 50m, draws fullback n puts Green under the posts. Beautiful.
