Have witnessed many great Manly wins over the past 35 years but the football from the 15th to the 75th minute was possibly the best ever. The defence went up a gear realising any more points would have spelt disaster & the attack cashed in on opportunities that came along. The towards won the mid field allowing the halves to dominate the game. The Stewarts & Lyon were pure class & the wingers quality efforts were super. Imo with the game on the line & against all odds its fair to claim that as some of Manlys best ever footy & without doubt, the effort was also as good as any.
From minute 15 to 75, the boys were in the zone, Souffs hardly had a sniff until the game was wrapped up. The boys played the same up tempo game that destroyed the drizzle a month or so ago, Souffs have modelled their whole game that way and it was another example brains overcoming brawn.
