God I hope this happens.

According to the anemic fat youngish lad on the footy show (hardly watch it so don’t know their names), supposedly Parra has approached Bennett. Must mean Brisbane still want Bellamy. Bennett imo is past it as a coach, but as a disciplinarian, him joining Parra is going to take lol@parra to a new level as he tries to deal with the nutcase players and madcap administrators.

As if bennett would take on a challenge such as parra, he tried that with newcastle and ran away when he realised he didn't have an unlimited cap and a big rug. He would only go somewhere he was 100% guaranteed to win a premiership

Brisbane Broncos coach Wayne Bennett has reportedly been approached by the Parramatta Eels to coach the Sydney club, if the Broncos end up signing Storm coach Craig Bellamy.

The Broncos have reportedly tabled a four-year offer worth $5 million for Bellamy to join the Broncos from 2019, despite seven-time premiership-winner Wayne Bennett having a year to run on his deal.

The Broncos have consistently denied an offer is on the table, however admitted they sat down with Bellamy as they attempt to map out their future post-Bennett.


The Storm have launched a three-year counterbid in an attempt to keep him in the Victorian capital and he is understood to be weighing up both offers.

Speaking on the NRL Footy Show, Nine reporter Ben Dobbin said the Eels are looking to swoop on the legendary coach with club dwindling at the bottom of the ladder this season.

Well , when a coach has his team at the bottom of the ladder and doesn't seem to know how to fire them back up again the usual is for the club to fire the coach .

Can't see the storm going from Bellamy to Arthur, if that's what you are suggesting. Would hasten the decline of Melbourne though, so fingers crossed.

Not sure why he was there, maybe assistant role?
