If Burbo does get his chance and this is not just another Desmond's smoke and mirrors action, one advantage he has is that the Trbojevic's seem to have a great understanding of each other's play. I would suspect years of backyard strategies will come to the fore in their linking between each other. Be interesting to see.

I think that Schuster/Burbo have best combination of playing together. A shame he wont be there for his debut.

Burbo should be ready for i st grade footy with his back ground of junior rep footy and being with the main squad for a while now . Probably would be one of the quicker forwards out in the open going around and hopefully has got his defense into some better order . Big day naturally for him and his family and the club if he does make his debut , and sure that his brothers will be a big help for him when he is out there . Hopeful that he can go well and do what will be required from him .

Didn't think Manase would last 3 years, and would be let go to sign a long term contract elsewhere. Think we will get 3 out of him but not 4 years and we wouldn't offer a long term contract after 3 years. Just thinking like a recruitment manager would be.

Two things. Firstly how long to Hookers in NRL last? Usually burnt out in 3 years and also given he's been out for 2 + years, it's going to be tough for him to return to any reasonable form. He’s only 22. I’m sure he will have a decent innings if his shoulder doesn’t play up too much.

Our ****ing idiot coach should have given him more game time. If he good enough to get in the 17 then he's good enough to put on the field. Who knows how much enthusiasm he could brought into the game. Had the chance to let Keppie cool his heels. Couldn't of been as bad as others on the field.

Our issues today weren't the forwards - our issue was no 6 and Turbo missing. All they had to do was sweat on DCE - really easy when they are only having to watch wherever DCE is. I wouldn't have put Burbo on either - if you watch closely - he is just not strong enough yet - gets bounced off tackles and can't drag guys down.

Bit like Suli - he has only got minimal game time recently. Problem is that we are down to zero backrowers - that is why he was picked. He will be a good player but he needs more upper body strength/technique in defence.

I know it's a very Des thing to do, but even putting aside the fact his family was there to watch him debut, we needed a big, fast player who hadn't spent all game tackling to try to give us some life. He could've spelled Keppie easily. Give the kid a go.
