Beaver for 2008?

Beaver was a special guest on 2KY's Sports Sunday program and said "The way I feel at the moment I think I could go for 2 years. It depends on my form and how the body holds up after six or eight rounds this year"

For those counting on extra dollars being freed up after 2007 for a major purchase I think it is way to early. He doesn't get injured and feels fresh. I for one would be happy if he decided to play on.

Id be happy aswell. The reality is that as a local junior, the cash that would be freed up if Beaver retired would most likely not counter balance the sum to find a top line backrower on the open market.

Provided he stays fit and motivated, viva la Beaver in 07 and 08 and......>>

his experience is what is most important at the moment - there will be at least 1, hopefully 2 players joing firstgrade as a backrower permanently this year, if beaver can guide them through to the 50 game mark we will be going ok

I think it comes down to his body holding up.
Has this bloke really ever been out of form.
He's a machine i tell ya, a machine.

Earl, I thought Beaver's form last year was quite ordinary. Seemed to me he dropped a fair bit of ball and dropped of a few tackles as well. I thought he was dead lucky to get in the SOO team. But he's still an excellent player and with his rep games gone I think he'll be fresher and fitter for it in 07.
