Baz, get it over with early. It'll only cost 10k.

I reckon Baz should blow up deluxe about the sh*tbag biased rubbish we put up with from a wet behind the ears, out of his depth greenhorn referee that we endured today.
Baz I urge you to go mad, say something absolutely postal and make Scotty extract 10k from his kick and tell em you're mad as hell and not gunna take it anymore !!!
It worked for waxman Robinson last year or the year before so light the fuse and see where the ride takes you !!!!

OK so he didn't but it would've been the time to get it over and done with I reckon.
Tooves would have but I'm not going over old ground there just reckon it may have had some effect.
Who knows with these agenda driven d*ckheads that run today's game.
They got the result they wanted.
( but we still dropped too much ball)

I reckon he handled that aspect reasonably well in the sense that he got the message across that the officiating was not up to par and that we were far from happy with it, while not allowing the NRL the chance to pull a power play and slap us with a fine.... or worse still, dragging his team into a mentality of victims who are losing only because of poor officiating.

I hope he follows up with a more direct expression of displeasure behind closed doors with the officials. Despite what we may like to hypothesise about how we are treated unfairly/differently, I would like to think there is some official review of referring performances and aspects of that performance will be well and truly scrutinised and addressed. Optimistic, yeah I know.

Trent and the team is better served by getting focused on the things they can control (and you can see they are aware of that by some of the press conference comments)... It's all about focusing on what you can control.

Yeah well said but those simpletons only seem to react to being publicly exposed.
Guys like dessie have probably used the card too much.
Baz hasn't really used it yet.

Well put, today's officiating was despicably biased and pretty much made it near impossible to win the game. That Semi one was unforgivable and totally changed the momentum of the game. They went downfield and basically stayed there for the next 20 minutes, draining all our energy and getting a gift 2 points at the end of it to kill off the game. I thought our effort was top notch under the circumstances, despite our poor ball control.

I asked about this in the game day thread, but did anyone see Shame Hayne at the game, talking to the refs on field before kick off. I swear it looked like him, but I could be wrong though.

So just wondering if anyone saw the dude in the black pants and rain/sports jacket talking to the refs before the game.

Anyway, the refs basically handed the worms two points by not penalising them. Even though we made mistakes the officiating was suspiciously biased at best. The cheats were offside more often than not, throw in some head high/neck tackles, ball stripping and general dirty tactics and take your pick of how many penalties we could have been awarded. We got nothing from the refs except for the sharp end of the stick.

Now that you mention it yes I did.
Didn't think much at the time but yes I reckon it was him...
Stands to reason. The refs performance had his grubby fingerprints all over it.

I don't know what you guys are on about.

I have been reading posts by the negatives who are gloating about the loss that this refereeing disgrace was all part of Barrett's coaching plan, as were the dropped/raked balls.

I thought Baz handled the post match interview well. Compare it to Benedict Arnold's standard game of two halves interview I think Barrett was really clear and honest.

Just re read all posts on this thread and can't see any inference of anyone saying it was Baz's deliberate plan.
Suggest you quote the ones to which you find concerning.

Re.Presser- When asked where it went wrong, Barrett listed a number of things then, in exasperation said,
"...and 5th tackle penalties."
Take note, Herr Braun.

I took that as a swipe at Lewis Brown actually, not the refs. Late in the game 18-6 down 5th tackle in front of the posts, Lewis is palming the guys face into the turf. Easy 2 points and no coming back from there.

Atkins should be dropped to NSW Cup after that performance today.
He was bad. Is he really the son of the former parra winger?

Usually if refs make a terrible decision they overcompensate for the other team and give square ups. I expected a few but none came. Bias.
