I watched it last night --- for the first time since it happened back in 11 .... that first half goes down as one of the most legendary in Manly's history.

Also a reminder of the team we had back then .... Jamie, Brett, Glen, Watmaugh, DCE/KF in their first year, what a team.

Damn 2011 Foran was an absolute superstar in the making. No offence to Cherry but he was definitely second fiddle back then. Oh what could've been if he stayed fit and didn't leave. My favourite part is the speed of the cavalry arriving to backup Glenn, shows how close that playing group was.

I just watched it for the first time on TV (I was at the game) - man that must be the best game of all time! Fantastic attack and defence from Manly, we absolutely smashed them and the teamwork was sensational. No wonder we were premiers.

And the media have "tut tut tutted" about the fight ever since... right up until they promote the next Manly-storm match at Brookie.

I remember some sections giving it to Brett for running in, but of course when Burgess ran in to dog shot Matai after his legal tackle on one of sam's dopey brothers it was all "Gotta defend yer brother ay! wink wink smile smile nudge ay ay ay" wankers
