This weekend's game will be an interesting one for a lot of reasons. Tigpies have a mathematical chance to get into the top 8. Manly need to avoid the wooden spoon. Both teams will be icicles in the cool CTown air. Robbie and Benji's last home game together. And two ex-Riff coaches go head to head.
On paper there's nothing between them. As it stands they both have a win ratio with their current team of 41%.
Ivan 17 wins from 41 games.
Trent 29 wins from 70 games.
Ivan made the finals in 2011, Trent coached country 2012-2015. Some good credentials no doubt.
Both are rebuilding clubs that are a mess.
Both are heavily linked with Entelodont Supremo Gus Gould to take over at the foot of the mountains.
Could there be more to this game than meets the eye? Some cold stares in the corridor? A lookaway handshake reminiscent of Cronkgate earlier this year?
In this year of coaching jenga perhaps they will sort it out in the carpark ??
Enjoy
