Most of what I have read on Twitter is pointing towards Dean Pay as the most likely replacement. Although some know it all's have been saying there is a "big name" already lined up to replace Desmond - I don't think Pay meets that criteria.

Cec Fifield could come back (from the dead), he coached them in 1944.

He played over 200 games for Hull over 100 for Wests in NSWRL and ended up a Junee Diesel.

He was a 29-30 Kangaroo a team which played an exhibition match in New York.
