A fit and happy looking Trent Barrett attended the NSW Blues ball this week and was speaking confidently about a return to coaching.

Barrett's garden leave at Manly official ends in the next month, leaving him a free agent.

And despite a disastrous end to his time at Brookvale, there has been no shortage of interest.

Barrett's coaching comeback is likely to come at his old club St George Illawarra alongside former teammate Paul McGregor.

Mary can do with all the help he can get at the moment.

My biggest problem with Barrett is that he isn't our coach yet we are still paying him $50k odd a month to do nothing

If our employers didn't want is we would get 100% of nothing and told to pack our bags ASAP

NRL coaches and players are treated the same as senior execs in large companies who **** up and get sacked yet walk away with millions of dollars for being incompetant

Jokes aside, as long as Barrett is not head coach all is good, I always believed Barrett to be a great Assistant coach and can contribute and be effective in that role.

So in short chill people, as I have said before, Barrett is an Ass coach, has always been a great Ass coach for the team, and I am sure the Blues will benefit from Barrett's Ass coaching.

He was a good coach until teams figured out how we play then it all went to ****. He had a good game plan focusing on the ruck and inside balls to expose teams. We had some great plays api to green back to dce inside ball to turbo.. top play! Or jurbo back inside to turbo. Jorge coming in field on there line for a power run.

Trent is a great coach in fact he is so great that he is a legend in his own mind. According to the the article he has spend hours and hours of watching all this year games making him ready to coach again. If only he watched the games whilst coaching," he may have had more to say at half time than " keep doing what you are doing" I would than say to myself were Farked and Farked we were.

We have only lost 2 less less games than the team coming outright last. And we've just got pumped by the two worst teams in the league.
We shouldn't be getting ahead of ourselves here. We lose 2 more, and those under us win, we could well be right near the bottom.

NSW really know how to throw away a series. As soon as they start building a winning formula they look to shake things up. Now they have players who won't sing the anthem together, Trent Barrett in the coaching staff and out of form players chosen. There's a bunch of players that have been told they are superstars from a young age and coddled through the Sydney systems (Jarryd Hayne types) that are too wrapped up in their own hype.

Meanwhile in QLD you know you have a united player group that are proud of their state and are ready to go to battle for each other.
