Attack in the Red Zone

I am not sure whether the stats support this or not but whilst Manly has done okay in number of tries scored, it seems as if our attack is more fluid in oppositions 30 and 40 metres than inside their quarter. We have good strike power but seem to struggle somewhat in asking questions of defences on their own line.

This showed against Parra on Saturday when we had opportunities but didn't construct attacking sets creatively. Too many single hits ups were played rather than shifting the ball with momentum. Part of this is related to the speed of the play the ball where players are too slow or dominated at that point.

I hope this is an area in which we can improve as it will make us more potent and even make the difference. Parra scored in many of their close sets whereas we didn't, making the difference in the end.

we also struggle to get depth in our attack, both the broncos and storm so this the best imo with 2 or 3 players to pass to each at different distances from the defence and different angles.
