On Fox a few minutes ago, Bulldog Ritchie was asked about Para’s next coach, he said Twent was one of the front runners for the job along with Ryles and Hannay.

That he is still being considered for full-time coaching gigs is a bit of a head scratcher.

A quick search shows that there are 79 coaches who have been in charge for at least 100 NRL/NSWRL games from 1908-present. When ranked from highest to lowest win percentage as coach, Barrett is ranked 78th of those.

Yeah it's pretty hilarious. Only Parramatta could potentially be this stupid.

Imagine replacing their longest serving coach and much loved figure Brad Arthur with the worst coach in the history of the game. Someone with brains in there will realise this is too risky. If Barrett doesn’t work out the ceo and board are finished. If they hire ryles and it doesn’t work out they can say we got the best up
Coming coach in the business and it didn’t work so we will try again.
They can’t say that with Barrett as his record is appalling.
