For the first time since 1997, the final four feature ARL-aligned clubs only. No SL entities and no JVs. Just clubs that existed in 1997 as they are now.

    So do we want a 1997 or 1972 re-match.

This a great result for those who stayed loyal in the face of the news limited juggernaught that harmed the game so much.

It would be great to see 100K plus crowds combined attend this weekends finals.

I still enjoy it when we beat a super league club. I will never forgive that period which led to us having the northern eagles rammed down our throats which killed the game for me for the 3 years of that disaster.

This weekend is a chance to get one up on a team that has haunted us in finals past.

    Get em Manly!!

That's over 15 years ago. I'm happy to move forward finally. SL was a sick joke in the minds of corporates who only saw $ signs. Can't complain that no SL deserters are there but truthfully the comp has been going so long it is a new generation of players anyway.

After knocking the Bulldogs and Storm out of the finals series in successive weeks, the Newcastle Knights have announced that their new sponsor will be 'Easy Off Bam' as it removes unwanted scum.
