apocalypse or opportunity ...

I do. One in particular. They did it when they won their last premiership.
Yeah Cronk WAS 34 and it was supposed to be around the $1M so you are possibly right…

it certainly follows that formula doesn’t it… imagine if those pr*cks managed to pull the same sh*t off again 🤮🤑🤮

Really only see Lehi "s future primarily as a fullback , maybe some prospect as a 6 .
Plenty of back line players who can slot into different positions but for a 7 role and at N R L level , normally some level of 7 background and capability required
.Purdie from the Cowboys essentially had a half back background and apparently has some real toe but even other half back options there in one form or another right now

after you lot apply the haemorrhoid cream ... you can start to ponder where we go from here ... with a million added to our recruitment fund in the search for a replacement.

Lehi Hoppa to half like Campbell at the Titans ... You heard it here first ... has the hands, the pace, the footy nouse, vision and skills ... could be the move of the decade.

Has Mitchell Moses got a get out clause ...

Is Lachie Gavin a chance ...

Is either Walsh or Large going to be teenage prodigies ... remember Gavin is only 19.

Who else is available?

I'm excited .. we live in interesting times

Yep, have thought very similar, move Lehi into the halves, Tom is the best FB in the game and if he stays fit, big if, he stays 1 for obvious reasons.

Besides, Turbo’s not a six, but Lehi can be, has the body shape and yes all the skills as you pointed out, just have to ask about his kicking game? With his running game and vision, he’d kill it, the kid has all the goods, he can work on a kicking game, might just take a while to develop the down town stuff, fear not Brookies can do that.

I think we can solve it in house for now, knowing we have developing options, use the cap where we need it, prop, mobile edges, possibly a 9, I mentioned edges because I’d like to see Quac move into the middle, he can play like Hass, has enormous potential to be a great running middle and be that forward leader we really need.

I’m sad how things have played out, but it’s all good, it’s all opportunity and a chance to look to the future, if things sour as the season goes on and I hope not, but it’s likely (come origin preservation time and or post origin if we look like missing the 8) I hope Seibs seriously thinks about giving Lehi a run in the halves and if Toms struggling with injury, (let’s just hope not) but if so, Tolu can go back to 1 and utilise his best asset, give him space and let him run, which lets us shift Talau in and play where he should, his a centre every day of the week, so it’s not all doom and gloom.

There’s a lot to play out yet, I think the only certainty, Daly will not be wearing our colours in 26 and if everything falls into place it could be very exciting, we have the potential to be a better side in 26, we may not have a better half back but it is what it is, I’m just not sure I’d call it exciting just yet, but it may well be.

I think whats more than likely to happen will be that tom goes to 6, brooks to 7 and lehi to 1. Which I'm not the biggest fan of, but as a gap fill it will suffice. We won't have to spend any money to make it happen. And we can then concentrate on spending on our biggest weakness. The forwards.
And we’ve been saying for years that forwards have been our biggest issue

Has to be opportunity, many a player has been unearthed by just keeping it simple and giving it their best shot.

Lachie Galvin is a fine example of that, had a huge 2023 / 2024 offseason and made a name for himself.

There is talent in the junior ranks and there is also a bridging player or two that could plug a gap.

The closest to an apocalypse is Turbos hamstrings going again..

I agree I can live with a period of adjustment that could see some good young players coming through, it’s not the end of the world.🦅🦅🦅

Like the idea but can Lehi kick and pass? I mean pass in a way that reads and anticipates defence not just bat the ball on out wide.. I think if we had met all of the DCE’s expectations I don’t think we would have been in a position to extend Lehi‘s contract as we just did.. I think this was a critical signing for us..

Opportunity.

If we choose from within or recruit well, then we should not only have a good replacement but also have an extra $400k or so to spend on players surrounding the new half-back.

A sober reminder... We've tried having a single player on 16% of the salary cap and surrounding him with the best we could afford for a long time... and the result has been 4 finals series appearances in the last 10 years.
