Any chance Steve Smith supports Manly??

For mine, this has been coming for sometime and has been let go unchecked by Lehmann. All this crap about getting involved in a dog fight and what not, for God's sake its cricket! If its fighting and trash talking you are into, join the UFC or WWF or some other combination of three letters. That said, what is Ben Stokes doing playing test cricket. Clock someone and you can be back in six months. Sandpaper a ball 12 months. Does not add up.

Everyone will have different opinions on this for whatever reason, but if the media don't stop and let them have some sort of redemption they might have something hanging over their heads. Steve smith is a broken man and made a very silly decision, but he has to live with this for the rest of his life . I just hope to god that the media lay off. Hard to watch .

Chewing a couple of mints or picking a seam with your fingernail is a bit different to premeditating a plan to take a piece of sandpaper out on the field. Smith knows he made a huge mistake and he's paying for it.

He's only young and he'll come back from it, probably be a better player than before if that's possible. I have a feeling we'll never see Warner in a baggy green again. Poor old Bancroft may have also played his last test, his form isn't that compelling and he just gave a couple of suckers an even break.

What people need to understand is that it's not about the mistakes... we all make them and will all continue to make them. It's about how people respond to their mistakes.

I'm not interested in complaining about the severity of the punishment compared to other incidences by other players. How the ICC, other countries, or individuals involved chose to react to their behaviours reflects on them and their character.

As hard as this has been to watch, feeling the pain Bancroft and Smith appear to be going through, I have incredible respect and sympathy for those guys. I also respect the stand made by the AC (whether it was forced by public opinion to some extent or not), as I feel we, as a country, have shown great character and stood against the sub-standard levels set in International cricket for so long.

I hope that Australian cricket continues to work honestly and earnestly on building the type of values and culture within sport that we can all be proud of... regardless of how other countries may choose to proceed.

I wish both boys the best of luck in their battle to regain self-respect and pride. Those press conferences were a first step in a healthy direction.

I am pleased to see that we have higher standards than the Saffas and Indians.

I still believe we have gone way too far with the punishments, the ban on State cricket is ridiculous, and potentially harmful.

They def should be allowed to play State Cricket , that’s the very basis that Test Cricket is based on.

I have watched most of this current series and the whole thing has been a disgrace basically from day one.

Both sides should hang their heads in shame for what they have done to a series that promised so much.

The ball tampering is a rather minor offence in the world of cricket, but for some reason Australians love to cut down their hero's and totally crucify them for what the ICC (crickets governing body) sees as "one match ban" error.

One minute the media, who I blame for what has happened today, is telling us Smith is Bradman's equal then the next thing his name is dirtier than that filthy beast George Pell. How does this happen within a few weeks?

Why does almost everyone want to see these 3 men broken and ruined. I don't get it. I wish everyone would get behind them and support them, they stuffed up in what is a game, big deal.

Australia and Australian should be more ashamed of their reactions than Smith, Warner and Bancroft should be of their mistake on the field last Saturday.

I was always taught to stick by your mates through thick and thin, these days are obviously long gone.

I look forward to the day these 3 again play for Australia, but I suspect we are a good 2 years away from that happening, if ever.

All the best to Steve Smith, Dave Warner, Cam Bancroft and their families.

FMD that was hard to watch , and regardless of the glamour the dollars and the lifestyle at the end of the day he’s broken hearted because he let his Dad down most of all.

Hope a lot of people are looking after him and Bancroft because they are going to need it.

Warner on the other hand , well that could be a very different story.
Warner just deals with it differently. Having to constantly hear about his wife and SBW would be eroding of his self worth 😎

Thats another thing that I don't get. Most men want to root SBW tgemselves, yet resent Candice doing the deed :giggle:

CA over reacted big time 😎
