Another player requesting a release - David Klemmer

Imagine the pack we could have next year.

8 Klemmer
10 Taupau
11 Winterstein
12 Sironen
13 Trbojevic

15 Perrett
16 Lussick
17 Fonua-Blake
Have a feeling lussick and winterstein wont be here next year. I wouldnt want klemmer in the chance of AFB being disheartened and losing him though. Imagine hess, klemmer, taupau, trbojevic, AFB in your forward pack. Geez i rate this hess kid. Buckleys chance though

He would be on some serious money at the Dogs, still a top liner but just does not seem to have the impact or dominance this season as compered with the past couple of years. Still seems like an unlikely scenario for him to be leaving the Dogs right now. Certainly better then Nate but would no doubt want more coin too. However , anything is possible in club land at the moment and i could be wrong on all counts.

Sounds like a story generated/fabricated from Klemmer's manager and/or a bored journo.....!!!!

I would think that this will get sorted out very quickly, if any of it is even true.

Anyway, he can be a good player at times and then at other times not so good. Just too inconsistent and not worth the coin he would want. And besides that, he has anger and attitude issues. Slapping Chez was just a dog act and really showed me the type of person he is. I can't stand the bloke and TBH I don't want him anywhere near our club.

Does look like a change would do him good.

When in form he is a good player and would fit in well with our pack he and Marty would be a force but he's a loose cannon needs to cut the crap. Marty seems to have shed that stuff from his game and look at him he's a beast.

If this is true and if Manly is a possibility, I wouldn't say no to Klemmer if the price is right (cue Ian Turpie). Myles seemingly wants out and Darcy is allegedly on the outer so why not? And who better than a current test front rower?

Guess we'll just have to want and see what happens.

But clubs don't have anything to do with TPAs ..................

Do they???

This was brought up in another thread as well.

Again, it makes a mockery of the tpa system being nothing to do with the clubs if journos will continually report "not getting paid for tpa's" as a cause for players to move!

I have yet to see a journo state that.

Also, the DT has the opposite report saying that Klem hasn't requested a release and the c.e.o. has also said he hasn't requested a release from his contract.

If he did come here...it would have to be in his contract that dce gets to slap him once a week at dce's choosing!

I find this a bit hard to believe that the dirty dogs would allow this. They do have cap pressure and we have money available. He would bring a lot to our pack if the club decided to bid for him, I agree that the Tigpies would be favourites. I wonder what Aaron Woods makes of this as he went there for the fact that Klemmer was at the dogs.

Klemmer is a beast and exactly what we need in the middle to support Marty.

I reckon he would go to the Eels before us though sadly.
I don't think so. The eels have been spending shizenhousenloads on players and I truly believe they couldn't go anywhere near buying a guy like klemmer (also don't see why he'd want to move there).

He is a beast when in a fast side, the bulldogs are as slow as slow can be, I think we'd be the best chance for him. Rumour probably isn't true though although couldn't explain how happy I'd be to get him, perfect player that would complete our premiership winning pack.

The guy is 23, played 9 times for Australia and plays origin and people don't want him here? If forwards don't hit their prime till the late 20's this guy could be anything.
A new club could lift him to another level.
If he only cost a couple hundred more than ( too many) Myles why the F not.
