Annesley appointed NRL head of football

Graham Annesley has been appointed NRL Head of Football – Elite Programs and will take up role on November 1.

Just empire building, adding more to the trough 😡
If he's head of football I would've thought that would encompass 'elite programs'.
They do know how to complicate.
WTF are elite programs?

Well we mere mortals at Manly wouldn't know anything about elite programs because greenturd said it is nothing to do with us.

I think maybe it has something to do with testimonials for special player - but just a guess

Who is Head of Football - un elite programs?

The NRL has restructured its football department, with Gold Coast chief executive Graham Annesley to join Brian Canavan as the head of football.

Annesley informed Gold Coast Titans staff on Monday that he would be returning to the NRL, and will oversee the running of the elite competitions.

Canavan will manage participation and pathways, while Annesley will work closely with the football department in relation to referees, rules and match review committee.

Classic jobs for the boys.😕

Has Canavan ever said boo to the Fans 🙄

Good move IMO. Annesley was handed a basket case at the Titans five years ago. They've got their 25million dollar centre of excellence up and running successfully. He's gone through the coke coast saga. Finally got a decent coach and assistant in.Annesley isn't afraid to make the tough calls. He'll be able to deal with Beat-off if need be. He'll also be helping with rule changes. Compare that to the AFL, who brought in Waleed Aly to do theirs!
Apparently it's been in the wind for a cpl months. Greenburgs a C@nt no doubt, but he's a cunning bastard. The ratings and crowds may have gone up this year (apparently?) , but his rating as CEO is ****e. So he's found one of the best administrators in the game (imo), and brought him in as his right hand man (some might say fall guy, but Annesley knows all the political backstabbing tricks).
Out of all the garbage appointments that have been made, I like this one.

I think they needed some help designing the shape of a rectangular field to make the game bigger than world soccer.

Edit: can just see Greenberg saying “FFS people, all we have to do is crack the code on building a rectangular field, and we’ll be kicking the soccer World Cup to the sidelines”.

As a result of the debts the Centre of Excellence at Robina was sold to Bond University who rented back two floors of the building to the Titans.

The titans were trading insolvent but ASIC conveniently stopped investigating the directors.... So the rumour goes
