I cannot believe the Cows made zero effort to run down that Eel field goal. They all sat back, watched him set up nicely in front , and pot it over. They have worse issues than us up there.

No, he slipped into it, similar ruling in the earlier game, but penalties have been give in the past and probably will in the future

Every game this round was blighted by players staying down when clipped over the head. It’s now an epidemic. Bloody embarrassing. And the fox commentators went out of their way to congratulate Jayden Campbell for not staying down when he could have, and that would have won that game. It’s a complete farce. Rugby league is a contact sport, but we now encourage players to stay down even when they are clipped as they are falling to the ground in a tackle ie completely unintentional and unavoidable.

I can only imagine that his manager wanting (and getting) a reported $650k per year for him was the issue.

Which reminds me, what happened to that “crackdown” on players complaining to the referee? Must have gone the way of all previous crackdowns, because it is increasingly rare for a dummy half not to throw his arms in the air after every tackle.
