I was hoping the Raiders would get up, but only because the Bulldogs are up there as my most-hated team. I would have liked the chance to knock both the Raiders and the Dogs out of the eight.

But really, it doesn't matter who we're playing or when we're playing them: we just have to win. This is the time of year we should be playing close to our best footy, so let's see those "weapons" in action.

Cooper Cronk's voice gets more grating each week

At least with in his game commentary he's learned that not every play needs a War and Peace long explanation. He's shortened them considerably. Maybe on 360 or the Matty Johns Podcast he can do that, but in game doesn't need it.

What a joke penalty on Pongia then. Never hit Taruva anywhere near the head. Just spineless pathetic refereeing because the home crowd screamed. This is without doubt the worst bunch of weak spineless referees ever.

Can't believe I'm saying this but the likes of Mick Stone, Bill Harrigan, Greg McCallum and yes, even Graham Annesley who I grew up watching as referees were better refs than today's crop. And for the most part they had to make do without video replays which only came later in the careers of Harrigan and Annesley.

If we can't beat the faders then we don't deserve to play finals. They are dogsh*t in attack. Just simply unbelievable that we managed to drop a 20 point lead at home to them.
That losing to Broncos and warriors are all looking shocking results we win all those and we sitting pretty in the top 8 sorry top 4 and a real Smokey.

Now we are fighting for a top 8 spot when we really should already be there.

The refs gifted the one point to the warriors and also that win for the broncos against us. Softest penalty ever when we were on top for them to go down and get a field goal.

We also played souths with ten players out and we should have beaten the eels the first time we played them. Some very dodgy calls there.

We have no excuses against the raiders and the dolphins when we had good leads and should have won. Both these teams are below us on the ladder

Geez, hope we don't get Klien, he's the game breaker in close games.
I was thinking of your post when Klein was in the bunker last night.
He called Fletcher Myers, Fletcher Baker. Not even close.
I’m glad Warren Smith picked it up and had a laugh with Ennis.
I know it might not seem like a biggy, but fmd, you’re supposed to be
the No.1 ref, and with all the shiit going on with the bunker, surely you
should be able to get a wingers name right, instead of a props name who can’t get out of qld cup.

I woke up this morning feeling a bit dusty, tired after being up late watching the Olympics, and grumpy because I am back to work tomorrow.

Then I remembered that Brisbane are out of the finals and I smiled

Happy Sunday everyone!

And Souths!
And the Eels!
(Of course we don't take delight in others' failures... but ... it's not a rule unless there are exceptions, right?) :)

Klein always presents well, cool and calm and looks under control. Trouble is. the fans watching on TV and at the ground aren't calm or under control watching Klein's on field refing/bunker performances.

Some food for thought.

No.1: Ok, did we get trigger happy with Des and pull the trigger too early? We will find out in a few weeks, and,

No. 2: Did we let the wrong coach go in Flanno?
He isn't afraid to give his players a spray if they need it, and he has built the toughness into them.
Take Lomax for example - When Flanno put him on the wing he didn't like it, but the coach didn't give in to him. Now Lomax is in career best form.

No. 3: Will we make the finals? That is up to the players and coach, its in their hands, and finally;

No 4: If the Titans make the finals and we dont then the power brokers at the club have a lot to answer for. Lets not forget we are playing teams that are fighting for their semi lives over the next few weeks and a team that doesn't want another wooden spoon.
It's going to be tough, and yes, there are a lot of ifs in there so feel free to dissect my post at will.

Good afternoon my SilverTails brothers, sisters and Feathered Friends.

Go MITANS

But I fear guppies are going to be a bit too experienced for them tonight.

I hope I am wrong,

Make that 18-0 sharks
The one night we needed the titans to turn up haven't fired a shot
They look in all sorts
Unless there's a miracle sharks will get fourth they have a very easy draw coming up
DF million dollar man nothing to see here

Yeah it’s just as I thought. The change in conditions from the weekend to the Friday game it just all feels different and they forget what they have created. On top of that they are playing a guppies team who have been together for years and are full strength with finals campaign experience rather than busted and disgruntled ponies. It’s just not gonna happen.

Bugger, the Mitans were fun while it lasted.

Agree with all of the above, MB.

However, can I put in a good word for commas and fullstops?

Looks alright to me.
