All NRL Games [Round 21, 2025]

Yeah, they love a controversial bunker/referee call. It's an easy 20 minutes of programme filler.
That’ll depend on who the team/coach is that was “dudded”.Look at last week. They carried on for two nights about 50/50 calls that the Dragons didn’t get because Flanagan is mates with the journos.Coaches get the journos to deflect from their sides ordinary performances. If the Broncos get the rough end of the pineapple, the conversation will be about Maguire’s coaching, rather than an unlucky refereeing decision

Tbf those dragons decisions (given the way refs have interpreted decisions this year) were rubbish and the broncs keep losing the same way (no grind)…
Everyone has been carrying on about their 6 wins in a row but they had the tits twice in that run and were lucky as all hell to get away with the dogs game because Galvin played his first game as starter (which put the dogs massively out of sync - ie. they were sh*t) and the donkeys made a lot of the same errors as they did last night… it looks great when it comes off but it is effectively a crap-shoot approach…

Also, now looking like Haas could be out for a while, has a myriad of injuries to contend with now. He's there go to man when things aren't going well. It's such an even playing field now with threats coming from everywhere.

I thought the decisions were 50/50,so the Kiraz ruling should of stayed with the refs call, but that’s not the point. They weren’t big enough to require two nights of discussion, deflecting from another Dragons defeat or blaming it for their seasons downfall. As for the Broncos,5-6 wins in a row in this comp is outstanding and they were bound to hit the wall at some stage.I could say the same about Manly’s recent “turnaround”.The first half against the Tigers was an abomination, they beat up on lower than reserve grade level Rabbits and they were brilliant in the first half against a error ridden Storm, yet took a late penalty to get the win

Maybe the time has come to finally introduce technology to rule on forward passes and off side rullings.
Off side rulings can be done, you can use the line like the VAR in just about every soccer competition around the world, you just have to make the rule very clear as to what part of the body can and can not be in front of the ball.As for forward passes, you only have to look at how hard it is today to judge/rule on them,to see that you’d open up a can of worms if you involved the video ref.The problem with the bunker is that they seem to be getting involved with absolutely every minor indiscretion, rather than just abolishing the howler

Good points, the short passes at the line with the attacking player steaming onto the pass, these need to be scrutinised, so many of these passes look forward from the hand.

What a crazy opportunity season 2025 is turning out to be. Such a shame we can't finish top 4. Having said that, tomorrow will give us a clearer picture as to whether Manly are any sort of threat this year

His service out of dummy half was excellent in my opinion. He just needs some time to learn to not overplay his hand
A lot of the passes I saw were behind the intended recipient or at/above their heads.

Paying (reportedly) $650k per year for bench players who "just needs some time to learn" is not a particularly smart strategy in my opinion.
