Which wasn't even their idea, if you read George Piggin's book. "Kick Souths OUT!" was a plan going around well before 1995 and the birth of Super League.
Super League - if it had survived - certainly needed to kick the World Club Challange to the curb. That was a ****show that only served to make the ****ty Australian Super League clubs - Warriors, Mariners, Reds, Rams - feel good about themselves.
Always amuses me how no one ever questions the people around the coach when a team goes bad. Like, the Warriors and Broncos drop-off in form couldn't possibly be because - in part - the assistants actually aren't all that great at best/are undermining the coach at worst.

Walters doesn’t strike me as the bloke that can bring Brisbane a premiership

I didn't rate him so I was pretty surprised last year when he got them to within 5 minutes of a premiership. Not sure if this year is back to normal transmission, or they just don't have a suitable replacement for Reynolds who is out injured for several months.

Twice the Warriors have been penalised for 'foul play' minutes after the event.

I have been waiting to see if it happens to any other team. Repeatedly now, I have seen that it does not.
