Being a specialist centre might actually be an advantage under McGuire.

I think you're right. You can't challenge a kicker, you can't really challenge a kick, you look at someone's head whilst tackling it's a penalty. Added to this players feigning injury (crushers/high tackles and hip drops especially) and demanding opposition players are sin binned. The hard men from years gone by must laugh at today's players.
