Al Brooks - Manly Fan

I wasn't sure where to put this, or even how to name the thread, but I saw online a Manly fan was killed in a vehicle accident recently.

I hope it wasn't anyone on here who we haven't seen post for awhile.

Either way, condolences to his family.

The front seat passenger has been identified as 49-year-old father-of-two Al Brooks.

“It is with a very heavy heart that Berkeley Vale Soccer Club confirms the tragic news that our great friend and member Allan Brooks was killed in an accident on the M1 yesterday,” Central Coast Football posted on Facebook a short time ago.

“Al or ‘Brooksy’ as he was known to all was a passionate, proud (Berkeley Vale) Wombat and a huge character who has made our club and community a better place. He will be deeply missed.

Gee I hope that it was nobody from here too but either way, RIP Al Brooks. My condolences to all of your family and friends. 🙁

I knew Al, a great bloke who grew up overlooking Brookie oval, and former Beacon Hill High student.

Sadly missed, he was hilarious, and had lots of friends along the beaches.

I didn't know Al, but a few of my MWTS people did, what a terrible way to go, a blowout on a motorway , condolences to the Brooks family.

I was in AL's cricket team Ten years back. He was a great guy and a real character. I'm shocked to hear the news of his death. I'll always remember him as a good friend.
