Why not give the young NYC manly Sea Eagles boys are debute to try their skills in NRL just like West Tigers?. In Which you shape them with each nrl game. Rather than looking for other old star halves

I think the idea is good, if you have special talents in the lower grades. Brooks and Moses were big noises in the NYC, so too Elgey, but not so much Aldridge and co. History shows that the player has to stand above the rest in the NYC to even compete at NRL level, let alone excel. I think Manly's under 20's were winning their early matches off the back of Tom T; since he moved up to firsts, they haven't looked the same team.
