I was waiting for kick off yesterday sitting at my brother's house, thinking - last year at this time we were in teh stands waiting for Manly to flog Melbourne.
We should have been there instead.
The team should have been at the Grand final and Des should have been saying over and over to them 'You're all a disgrace. You should have been here. That is almost exactly what Des did say to them. I know because I found the notes he made for his speech on a discarded fish and chips wrapping. He also said, "there will be big changes next year, no more Mr Nice Guy, and hope you all have a happy xmas and safe new year, god bless. Sorry."
