I think we only bought him because we had injuries in the backline when SOO was on.

the Schoupp signing is smart without being exciting....I mean due to the way we have had our cap with a few players taking up so much of it, we need a few of these who may not win you games, but 'hopefully' not lose them.....RELIABLE is the word I would best use.
And then now and then to get a "Nathan Brown" type bargain signing is a BIG win, add Talau to that conversation and get Brooks for less then he was on and you start saying our 2024 signings are best in a while....well that's my take on it based on the season thus far...

To be fair Yeo was when he was pre first grade, apart from Luke Lewis not sure any of the others are that much (and you need to exclude no9's)

I would rate him slightly higher than Aaron...also would say that the earlier you move the easier it is

Talau, Garrick, Hopoate, Koula, Paulo, Veaga, Fualalo, and even burbo are or were options before him signing. We don't need depth in this area

Well Paulo and vaega wouldn't play centre, they'd push a talau or hopoate into centre. And burbo has been chosen above schoupp every time

Not sure what you mean every time? How many times has Ben been selected at centre over him cause I can’t remember any? Against Souths Ben was selected in back row while Schoupp played centre.

For one game. Even though we could of used another and ended up with the same result. We don't need a another centre, if someone gets laid off end of year cool then I get it. But, I stand by my statement

That was the only game schoupp has been in the 17 And that was because we had no forwards going around

I've replied to multiple posts about my comment now and I think people are missing my point. It's not about the player/person as such. It's about where we need strengthening and where we don't. We have surplus in this area of the field and whether some may better than others, those others were brought in for a reason, to play a role. Coach them. Scjoupp has played one game in the 17, and in my opinion any other option would not have made a difference game day at centre. Not to mention fualalo was not played either. But we sure could of used another forward that day. And could still do moving forward. That is my point.

The way the game has been speed up. Centres quicker forwards will be the new norm. Well those who have the work rate. And that's where most centres fail. Parker sadly seems in that category too. He can certainly run a line.

I understand what you are saying Knuckles..but i don't think they had a choice of a minimum wage forward of Schoupps standard.

Schouup fell into their lap, cost them pretty much nothing, so they took him.
