Two things pleased me about the win yesterday.
1. We spent most of the first 20 mins of the second half taking the ball up from our own line. We were under heavy fire from their defence which was offside for most of the first and second tackle. In the past we have cracked/panicked/ and made mistakes that have gifted points to the opposition. Kylie, Beaver and BK led the charge and we made risk free metres, Monas kicked generally well and it was followed with a good kick chase. Out error rate was minimal.
2. When the Broncos made breaks our scramble was very good. There were lots of chasers who cleaned up and supported Stewart. Hicks and Beaver made very important plays.
Important to note that the best indicators of enthusiasm and commitment of a team are the kick chase and desperation in cover.
