A Good Loss ?

I don't actually think posters are being vicious or overly-negative, just realistic. The Knights, in my opinion, are still one of the weakest in the comp. I guess time will be the judge though.

Exactly - Knights were complete rubbish. It's just that we were worse.

No less Rubbish than the Donkeys or even St Merge served up on Thursday night.

And even the mighty Cowboys and Sharks has 14 errors each......FOURTEEN!!

It’s round 1

All teams will improve as will ours!!

Our 1st win will be round 4 or 5 mate. As long as we are giving Croker protected minutes like Barrett said we would (we saw the result against a bottom 4 team last night) this will always happen. I DO believe this is the NRL's fault. If we had the ability to get a real 5/8, we would have been much better.

We NEED Walker and Lussick back more than people think. Both add starch. Parramatta are literally a top 3 odd team, and they'll pump us at Brookie next weekend, because we've lacked the ability to sign people.

I can’t disagree with that, we missed Moylan and Pearce and couldn’t even get busted Hodkinson, all because of Toddy Greenslime.

It’s a dictatorship and nothing else and all factored to favour about 5-6 high TV rating sides.

****ing ****s me. I demand they explain how they siphon money to Tony McGrath, to manufacture negative results for clubs. COMPLETE conflict of interest that no-one seems to want to address? It would be like The Bank giving me $1,000,000 to tell my boss that my Business Unit is crap. Ummmm.....suuuure, I'll do that for you hahaha

I thought that Croker did reasonably well , capable of making a break , defence seems in order. pass selection O K and he should get better . Manly "s defence was quite good and organized and even desperate at times and was not the reason for the loss . Cut down on the unforced errors and conceding soft penalties , utilize the inter change more effectively and maybe Parker [ or Tom Wright may even have a blinder for Black Town ] in for Matt Wright and Manly should and can be very competitive against the Eels .

I don’t think we will be pumped but I do agree we are playing with one arm tied thanks to that bald headed f wit and this sham witch hunt
I don’t know if we r going for Kelly or Barba but we just need a little more polish to finish things off and take heat of DCE ,I also think if he isn’t going to use the full bench then put T Wright on there to give Him a taste and add a little X factor he s certainly big enough

Well firstly I hate losing so this above title is very borderline, but I will do the best I can to explain quickly....
*Newcastle with the crowd and vital calls would have beaten most teams tonight.
*To be down to Golden point with such poor discipline/ball control is ok.
*The Knights did not look like creating anything bar piggybacks upfield and 2-3 poor 1 on 1 tackles at crunch times.
*The Forwards rolled up field with ease and with only 2 interchange, done enough to show they will dominate most teams....potentially match any.
*A star could well be ready to unleash in Powerhouse Kelepi, apart from a poor tackle to give up a try, was a beast in attack and will only improve and also big Lane ran hard, hit hard and both were great impact.
*Croker copped a bit and personally felt his clumsy hands were assisted by some poor passes from his mates and looked a threat when he ran, also defended really well most game.
*I recall Manly and plenty of other past Premiership winning sides losing game 1, so we need to get a grip, come out and kick the Eels ass.
Pretty much every season under Des started down at least 1

No such thing as a good win. We threw away two valuable competition points. We play like that next week and we will get flogged. This is TB’s third season so there is no excuse for poor bench selections compounded by poor bench management. Disappointed.
