1. Burns - I love his intensity and his passion, and he does the 1%'er things that others don't (like diving on loose balls) but he still instinctively wants to step off his right foot and run back into the ruck. He did this a lot last ngith. A 5/8 should be looking to distribute more than he runs. I can't help thinking that he has the look of a Hooker rather than a 5/8?
2. Last tackle kicking close to the line - I know Ox does this best, but Monas/Burns/Ballin kicked way too many dead last night, when we should have got a repeat set of six. I really think this needs to be practiced more.
3. Lyon - hmmm....look his goalkicking and tackling is great, but why can't he catch the ball? I've never seen someone drop it so many times. Also, is he carrying too much weight? I wish he would get a little bit more involved. I want to see him on the end of more backline moves, busting the line. Burns/Monas needs to get him into more 1-on-1 situations, a la Tahu/Gasnier.
