The Who
Journey Man
Well, Almost 7,500 of us - including 15 happy Titan fans - bothered to turn up for the match. It was the only game on, so getting there early made for 'riveting' viewing.
This timeslot sucks, especially at Brookie, around which much of the parking is restricted to at least 6pm, and to 7pm on the main thoroughfare.
The result proved as disappointing as the crowd. Compounding this was to see 25,000 spectators at the grand Newcastle Stadium at the much more easily managed timeslot of 8pm.
I love Brookie, and I applaud that there is now a much better sound system on the Hill. The downside is that the speakers, which are placed at around 30-metre intervals, restrict some of the view.
Our club should rail against playing in this timeslot at Brookie because it is so hard to find parking prior to 7pm weeknights.
Actually, I think the NRL should scrap the timeslot and transfer it to a Sunday, at 12-noon.
