Guys - I was wondering if I could get some advice (in dummies terms), of the cheapest way to speed up modem (Broadband, ADSL, and what packages etc).

I'd go on the net probably every night. Don't really download much. Don't play online games, but MAY do.

for you my friend DODO or AAPT would be your best bet depending on how much you want to spend.

TPG just contacted me and I have to switch plans because of the new price structure. I may therefore look at changing to one of the above

I'd also recommend nosing around whirlpool.net.au, especially the Broadband Choice section at http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/ . That is generally kept well up to date with all of the available plans, warts and all.

Plus, there's lots of people talking about the support etc. from the various companies...

Excetel looks appealing especially the new ADSL2 options in may

yeah I am going to stick with TPG as they will proviode free upgrade to ADSL2 as soon as it is available

whirlpool is the site to goto - has everything

I was on tpg and changed jsut before the rates jumped. Now im on wireless with excetel - support is average though. Unless like me you have to get wireless then go ADSL
