You would have had to agree to it. I personally don't have the monthly membership but I know people who have signed up to that one and they stated it continues on.
 
To be honest, it's much easier for them to have automatic rollover instead of 10,000+ members ringing or emailing to re-sign on for the next season. You can barely get through to the club now lol
